Use any jar with an opening of 2 3/4" to hold your Perle Cotton Ball and show you the color of your thread keeping it safe and untangled in your sewing basket!  A very practical and safe holder for balls of Perle Cotton dispensing your thread through the handy hole in the Jar top! 

A Country-Flavored Keeper for your Balls of #8 or #12 Perle Cotton. A vintage-look Galvanized Mason Jar Top with a rustic look.  The Jar Top is imprinted with "Brown's Mile End Spool Cotton", reminiscent of days gone past when wooden spools of thread were sold from wooden cabinets at the Dry Goods Store.  The jar top will fit any Mason jar 2 3/4" wide top opening.

I used a tall Mason jar to hold ALL the Perle Balls for a new design I was stitching.  The colored balls look wonderful in the jar and I can pull just the thread I want holding all the others coming out of the hole in the top with my finger.  See the photo above.
