This is a "twister" bobbin with the curved neck at the top. Twisting combined 2 or more threads together giving the yarn more strength. The flared neck is designed to create less stress on the yarn as it is drawn off this bobbin. The metal rim protects the yarn from snagging on the wooden top of the bobbin. A beautiful example of Needlework tools from days gone by. Have an example for yourself and enjoy in your home!

Bobbin is 13" tall and complete lamp is 16".

Add an interesting Silicone "flame" bulb and leave off the lamp shade!
