NEW NAME! Same Printable "Fabric-Like" Film to Print Designs On - NO TRACING.

Do you hate to trace designs for your needlework projects?  We have the solution for you - Printable Stitch 'n Stitch from Sulky!  Print your design with your copier, stitch your design and dissolve the film away in a generous amount of flowing warm water...EASY & ACCURATE.

Just print your design on your home copier.  Copy your design onto the "film" side of the Sticky Fabri-Solvy.  Peel the paper backing away and finger press the printed film directly onto your fabric.  Add your embroidery hoop and get stitching in just minutes!   The easiest, fastest way to transfer designs for embroidery, applique, punch needle and needle felting.

Easily disolve the film from your finished embroidery.  (See the photo above.)  Place in your sink with a generous amount of running warm water.  You can "swish" your embroidery with your hand or use your kitchen spray hose to hasten the dissolving process.  If it drys stiff....wash again. I have been putting in the washing machine lately on gentle and it works wonderfully!

Stitch as usual following the design through the printed Stick 'n Stitch.  EASY!  We tried it for RedWork embroidery and on wool for Needle Felting and Embroidery.  When your stitching is completed, cut away excess Stick 'n Stitch and wash in warm water to melt the remaining film away.....NEAT.

Dark fabrics are nearly impossible to trace an embroidery design.  Finger press your printed design on the dark fabric.  I found the Stick 'n Stitch adhered better to the fabric after the fabric was washed to remove the sizing. The printed design shows beautifully on the film pressed on the dark fabric.

Wool fabric is, also, impossible to use with a light box, too thick.  Print your design on Stick 'n Stitch and finger press the film to your wool.  Embroider through the film and wool....very easy and effective.  An easy way to add designs to wool for Needle Felting, too.

Give Stick 'n Stitch a try on thick sweatshirts and t-shirts for embroidery too. So many more fabrics you can QUICKLY & EASILY decorate!

Which one do you like and why? Fabri-Solvy or Transfer-Eze?
Which  one do you like and why? Fabri-Solvy or Transfer-Eze?

For those of you who have tried these products, help the rest of us decide!

Also, what do you do if you don't have a scanner/copier/printer, but just a regular printer?

Fabri-Solve vs. Transfer-Eze
Both products have the same super printable film to get your embroidery ready to stitch QUICKLY.  Fabri-Solvy measures 8 1/2" x 11" and Transfer-Eze is only 8" x 11...the difference between the two.

Sticky Fabri Solvy
I used this on a flour sack dishtowel and I could not remove it after stitching. I washed in cold water, warm water and wound up picking it off with by hand. Did I do something wrong.

Transferez comes right off with cold water.

Transfer Eze vs Fabri-Solvy
The concept is great but I tried Transfer-Eeze and found small gaps between the stitches.   I know you have to pull your stitches tighter but it still does not seem to produce the nice stitchery I am used to.  This was OK for my country looking project, but I am afraid to try it again.  Am I doing something wrong.  Is the Fabri-Solvy better in this aspect.  The 8.5 X 11 and the larger sheets are great.

Transfer Ease
I am not fond of the product as I feel it distorts the image and the finished project is not as crisp and fine as it is when I transfer the design directly on the fabric.  I am going to try Solvy to see if I find it gives a better result.  I don't think the Transfer Ease needles very well, either.  Nothing I have tried comes even close to the quality result I get from transfering directly onto the fabric with a light box.  I stitch with extremely small stitches and prefer outline stitch.

I couldn't be making it without this
I personally don't mind tracing.  I've been doing it for so long it is just second nature.  Then my daughter became pregnant with our second grandchild.  She wanted me to threadpaint a wool blanket for the baby.  The baby is here, and is a beautiful little boy.  I'm still "painting" the blanket.  The wool blanket material is extremely thick and cushy.  Even if I had made up a transfer and ironed it on it would have come out blurry.  With the Fabri-Solvy I have nice crisp lines to follow.  It is also quite hard to put into a hoop.  I find that with the Fabri-Solvy and this project I don't need one.  I just might try this with some red work and give up tracing.  The baby might get his blanket by next winter when he is 1 1/2. lol.

transfer pencil works best...
I prefer transfer pencil over all these other transfer products since I have more control and clarity. The idea to Sticky Fabri-Solvy is convenience, which I don't get unless I use pencils.

Solvy on a Roll
I just bought Solvy that came on a roll--6 yards.  It is only 8" wide instead of 8 1/2" -- how dumb!!  So my copier doesn't like that odd size, but I have made it work.

Fabric Solvy
I have used the other brand because I found it at Quilt Shows, but you're right, it's only 8" wide, so I have to watch the designs I put thru the printer.  I think it works great, I would never sit and trace anything, too lazy!!  I buy their great towels and designs and give them to all my friends.

Sticky Fabri-Solvy
I love this stuff! I like to embroider vintage designs on printed fabric. Using this has enabled me to stitch patterns I could not do any other way. The designs come out crisp and beautiful.

Fabri-Solvy
I have used the other product on the market and liked it, so I thought I'd give this a try as it is a little bigger.  I could not get it to stay stuck on my fabric and ended up having to pin it in place.  Every sheet I tried was the same.  I couldn't recommend this.

Sticky fabri-solvi
My friends rave about this product, so I decided to try it.   I purchased  fabri- solvi on a roll and had no problems running it through my printer despite the narrower size.  However,  I do NOT like working with it.   Yes, it' since not to have to trace, but I feel that it adds bulk to my fabric that I don't like, the fabric is a little stiffer than I like thus making the use of a small hoop difficult, and it leaves a sticky residue on my needle.   I am not favorably impressed and hope one of my friends who love it will be willing to buy the rest from me.
