Do you hate to trace designs for your needlework projects?  We have the solution for you - Printable Sticky Fabri-Solvy from Sulky!  Print your design with your copier, stitch your design and dissolve the film away in a generous amount of warm water...EASY & ACCURATE.

Sticky Fabri-Solvy is a printable stablizer film in a full 8 1/2" x 11" size making printing more accurate!
Just print your design on your home copier/printer right onto the sheet of Sticky Fabri-Solvy.  Copy your design onto the "film" side of the Sticky Fabri-Solvy.  Peel the paper backing away and finger press the printed film directly onto your fabric.  Add your embroidery hoop and get stitching in just minutes!   The easiest, fastest way to transfer designs for embroidery, applique and needle felting.

Remove the film easily from your finished embroidery.  (See the photo above.)  Place in your sink with running warm water adding a generous amount of warm water.  You can "swish" your embroidery with your hand to hasten the dissolving process.  I run clean water from the faucel over my design and dry flat on a bath towel.

Stitch as usual following the design on the printed Sticky Fabri-Solvy.  EASY!  We tried it for RedWork embroidery on muslin and on wool for Needle Felting and Embroidery.  When your stitching is completed, cut away excess Sticky Fabri-Solvy and soak the project in warm water to melt the remaining film away.....NEAT.

Sticky Fabri-Solvy is a full 8 1/2" x 11" so it fits into your copier paper tray perfectly making printing quick and easy and accurate.

Oversized needlework designs can be printed on the handy 11" x 17" size.  Take your pattern design to your copy store and have your large design printed on the full sheet of Fabri-Solvy.  We also have PRE-PRINTED oversized sheets for our larger designs too.

Dark fabrics are nearly impossible to trace an embroidery design on as the light from your light box doesn’t go through the dark fabric.  Sticky Fabri-Solvy is just the ticket!  Finger press your printed design on the dark fabric.  I found the Sticky Fabri-Solvy adhered better to the fabric after the fabric was washed to remove the sizing. The printed design shows beautifully on the film pressed on the dark red fabric.

Wool fabric is, also, impossible to use with a light box, too thick.  Print your design on Sticky Fabri-Solvy and finger press the film to your wool.  Embroider through the film and wool....very easy and effective.  An easy way to add designs to wool for Needle Felting, too.

Give Sticky Fabri-Solvy a try on thick sweatshirts and t-shirts for embroidery too. So many more fabrics you can QUICKLY & EASILY decorate!

transfer pencil works best...
I prefer transfer pencil over all these other transfer products since I have more control and clarity. The idea to Sticky Fabri-Solvy is convenience, which I don't get unless I use pencils.

I couldn't be making it without this
I personally don't mind tracing.  I've been doing it for so long it is just second nature.  Then my daughter became pregnant with our second grandchild.  She wanted me to threadpaint a wool blanket for the baby.  The baby is here, and is a beautiful little boy.  I'm still "painting" the blanket.  The wool blanket material is extremely thick and cushy.  Even if I had made up a transfer and ironed it on it would have come out blurry.  With the Fabri-Solvy I have nice crisp lines to follow.  It is also quite hard to put into a hoop.  I find that with the Fabri-Solvy and this project I don't need one.  I just might try this with some red work and give up tracing.  The baby might get his blanket by next winter when he is 1 1/2. lol.

Transfer Ease
I am not fond of the product as I feel it distorts the image and the finished project is not as crisp and fine as it is when I transfer the design directly on the fabric.  I am going to try Solvy to see if I find it gives a better result.  I don't think the Transfer Ease needles very well, either.  Nothing I have tried comes even close to the quality result I get from transfering directly onto the fabric with a light box.  I stitch with extremely small stitches and prefer outline stitch.

Fabri-Solve vs. Transfer-Eze
Both products have the same super printable film to get your embroidery ready to stitch QUICKLY.  Fabri-Solvy measures 8 1/2" x 11" and Transfer-Eze is only 8" x 11...the difference between the two.

For those of you who have tried these products, help the rest of us decide!

Also, what do you do if you don't have a scanner/copier/printer, but just a regular printer?
