Make your Valentine (or you, too) a cute little personal heart shaped pin keep in Wool Applique.  Pretty dark red hand-dyed wool creates the pin keep base hearts with a small pink heart with wings appliqued on top.  The hearts shapes are tied at the top for an easy and quick finish.

Applique with simple embroidery stitches with #8 Perle Cotton, a wonderful floss to use.  Using Perle cotton is the "height of laziness" - you use it just as it comes, no messy separating of threads!
