The Little Mary Mix Up toy sewing machine is from Joseph Schneider, Inc. but does not show any identifying marks on this solid little machine. It is quite heavy with a sheet metal body and a solid geared handwheel. It was made in the 1930's.
The 1934 and 1935 Sears, Roebuck and Company catalogs showed a green toy sewing machine that looked like this for $1.00. How times have changed!!
As with all old toys, this one is scuffed with play and "old age". The needle is missing but the handwheel turns easily. It would be a nice addition to a collection sitting among your needlework books and other goodies.
