Yes, you can draw on the Fabri-Solvy or Transfer-Eze.  It is a little bumpy so your lines won’t be as smooth as if you printed on the film.

If you don’t have a light box you can always use a bright window to trace designs.  I have even put a lamp under my glass patio table or coffee table to trace things!
